How to Find & Download Your Project Files

The project files for each lesson are available directly within the course platform. Below is a guide to locating and downloading them.

Each module that includes project files will have a download section on the lesson page, typically located in the “Materials” tab on the module or lesson page (see screenshot below).

Available file formats:

  • SVG — Compatible with most CNC design software, including Easel, Carbide Create, and Vectric.
  • C2D — Carbide Create project files, designed for Shapeoko and Nomad machines.
  • CRV — Vectric project files, compatible with V-Carve Desktop, V-Carve Pro, and Aspire.

To download a file:

Click the file title - each title is an embedded link. After clicking the link, a new browser tab will open with the file or the file will download automatically to your device. If the link opens a new browser tab, click the download button (the circle with a downward pointing arrow inside). The file will save to your computer's Downloads folder. From there, open it in your preferred CNC design software.

Software compatibility guide:

  • Easel:  Import the SVG files directly.
  • Carbide Create:  Use C2D files, or import SVG files.
  • Vectric (V-Carve, Aspire):  Use CRV files for the complete project setup, or import SVG files.
  • G-code senders (gSender, Candle, UGS, etc.):  These applications are used to send G-code to your machine, not to open design files. You will need to open the project file in your design software first, generate your toolpaths there, and then export the G-code for your sender.
